Office Furniture Installation at $95 per Workstation

Installation should be a line item you can calculate, not a mystery on the final invoice. It is $95 per workstation with a $495 minimum, and crews can work nights and weekends so your office keeps running.

Most furniture quotes are clear about the furniture and vague about everything that happens after it arrives. Installation ends up as "TBD" or bundled into a lump sum you cannot check. That makes it hard to compare options and easy to go over budget.

Office Station prices office furniture installation per workstation, with one minimum, so you can do the math yourself before you book.

Installation pricing

  • $95 per workstation
  • $495 minimum per job
  • Nights and weekends crews available
  • Delivery and electrical are separate line items

The minimum means that for small jobs of 5 stations or fewer, you pay $495. From 6 stations up, you pay $95 times the station count.

What installation covers

A workstation install means turning boxes, panels and components into a finished, usable station. On a typical cubicle job, that includes:

  • Staging components by station so the right parts end up in the right place
  • Connecting panels and setting them level and aligned with the plan
  • Mounting work surfaces, overhead storage and accessories specified in your order
  • Placing pedestals and other freestanding pieces
  • Walking the finished layout against the plan

What it does not cover is building electrical. Powered panels still need a licensed electrician to connect them to building power, so schedule that trade to follow the furniture crew.

After-hours installs and building logistics

Installing in an occupied office during business hours is noisy and disruptive. Nights and weekends crews let your team leave on Friday and sit down at finished stations on Monday.

Commercial buildings usually have rules about when and how contractors can work. We handle the pieces that commonly hold up an install:

  • Certificates of insurance issued to your landlord or property manager's requirements
  • Freight elevator reservations coordinated with building management
  • Loading dock scheduling so delivery and install line up

Putting installation in the full budget

Installation is one of four costs on a workstation project. Here is a 20-station example using remanufactured 6'x6' workstations in Greater Phoenix:

Line itemCalculationAmount
Furniture20 x $1,245 = $24,900, less 5% volume pricing$23,655
Installation20 x $95$1,900

The same 20 stations in liquidation-grade ($615 each) or new ($1,920 each) change the furniture line, but installation stays at $1,900. Outside Greater Phoenix, freight is quoted per project. For help choosing a tier, see new versus remanufactured versus liquidation-grade.

How to prepare for install day

  1. Finalize the layout. Changes on install day cost time. Free space planning helps lock it in first.
  2. Send building requirements. COI wording, contractor hours, elevator and dock rules.
  3. Clear the floor. Old furniture, boxes and personal items should be out of the install area. If old furniture needs to go, look at liquidation for a written net offer.
  4. Confirm power and data locations. Mark floor boxes and wall outlets so stations land where the plan expects.
  5. Book the electrician. Schedule them after the furniture install if stations are powered.
  6. Name one on-site contact. Someone who can answer layout questions and unlock doors after hours.

What to check in any installation quote

If you are comparing installation quotes, make sure you are comparing the same scope. Ask each provider these questions:

  • How is it priced? Per workstation, per hour or lump sum? Per-station pricing is the easiest to verify against your plan.
  • Is there a minimum? A low per-unit rate can hide a high minimum on small jobs.
  • Are after-hours crews extra? Find out before you commit to a weekend install.
  • Who handles the COI and building access? A missing certificate can stop a crew at the dock.
  • Is delivery included or separate? Separate line items make it easier to see where the money goes.
  • What is excluded? Electrical is the most common exclusion. Get it in writing.

Also ask how the provider handles a layout change discovered on install day, such as a column that is not on the drawing. A clear plan and a named on-site contact keep those moments short.

Our answers are on this page: $95 per workstation, a $495 minimum, nights and weekends crews available, COIs and dock coordination handled, delivery priced separately, and electrical excluded.

Installing as part of a move

If installation is one part of a larger move, it helps to plan removal at the old space and installation at the new space together. See corporate relocation for how those pieces fit on one schedule.

Frequently asked questions

How much does office furniture installation cost?

Installation is $95 per workstation with a $495 minimum per job. For example, 10 workstations cost $950 to install, while 4 workstations would come to $380 and fall under the $495 minimum.

Can installation happen at night or on weekends?

Yes. Nights and weekends crews are available so installation does not interrupt your workday. Let us know your building's access hours when you schedule.

Does installation include electrical hookup?

No. Workstation and installation prices exclude electrical. If your stations have powered panels that connect to building power, a licensed electrician should handle that connection, and you should schedule them to follow the furniture install.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our building?

Yes. We provide certificates of insurance and coordinate freight elevator and loading dock access with property management. Send the building's COI requirements early so paperwork is ready before install day.

Is delivery included in the installation price?

No, delivery is separate. In Greater Phoenix it is $195 for central zones or $295 for metro zones. Outside Greater Phoenix, freight is quoted per project.
