How installation pricing works
You pay a flat rate for each workstation installed. The minimum exists because every project carries fixed costs like crew travel, loading and site setup, even when only a few stations go in.

The break-even point is six stations. At five or fewer, you pay the $495 minimum.
A full budget example
Say you are outfitting 24 remanufactured 6'x6' workstations in central Greater Phoenix. Furniture at $1,245 per station is $29,880. The volume discount for 20 or more stations is 5 percent, bringing furniture to $28,386. Add installation at $2,280 and central Phoenix delivery at $195. Your total before electrical and tax is about $30,861.
Outside Greater Phoenix, delivery is freight quoted per project, and metro Phoenix addresses outside the central zone are $295. Space planning is free either way.
What is included and what is not
Knowing the boundaries up front prevents change orders later.
Typical workstation installation tasks
Confirm the exact scope in your written quote. A workstation install generally covers:
- Assembling panels, worksurfaces, supports and connectors to the approved layout
- Mounting overhead storage, shelves and tackboards that are part of the station
- Placing pedestals and freestanding storage at each station
- Leveling and squaring runs so panels align and doors close cleanly
- Removing packaging and staging debris from the work area
Not included
- Electrical. Hardwiring powered panels to building power requires a licensed electrician.
- Delivery. Priced separately by zone in Greater Phoenix or quoted as freight elsewhere.
- Data cabling. Your IT or low-voltage vendor pulls and terminates cable.
- Removal of existing furniture. If old furniture has to leave first, that is a decommissioning or liquidation scope, which can often offset your costs.
Nights, weekends and building logistics
Installing during business hours means noise, blocked aisles and people working around a crew. Nights and weekends crews let you close the office Friday and open Monday with new stations ready.
Commercial buildings add their own rules. Office Station provides certificates of insurance and handles freight elevator and dock coordination with your property manager. What helps most from your side:
- Send us the building's contractor rules or move-in policy.
- Name one contact who can approve access and answer questions on install night.
- Confirm any additional insured names the building requires on the COI.
- Share whether the loading dock has height or length limits for trucks.
Prep checklist before install day
A crew can only move as fast as the space allows. Walk through this list about a week out.
- Final layout approved and dimensions verified against the actual floor, not an old plan
- Floor cleared of boxes, old furniture and personal items
- Carpet or flooring work finished and cured
- Floor or wall power locations marked and matching the layout
- Painting and patching done so crews do not work around wet walls
- IT told when stations will stand so cable can be pulled behind them
- Building access, parking and elevator reservations confirmed in writing
If the floor plan is still uncertain, use the free space planning before you order. It is far cheaper to move a line on a drawing than to relocate a panel run.

Pre-owned furniture is sold by Office Station as an independent reseller, not an authorized dealer, and manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer. Condition grades are A like new, B very good and C good, so you know what you are installing before it arrives.

Can you install after business hours?

Does installation include electrical hookup?
No. Furniture prices and installation exclude electrical work. If your panels have powered raceways, a licensed electrician needs to make the connection to building power. Plan the electrician visit for after panels are standing.
What does the building need before crews arrive?
Most property managers ask for a certificate of insurance, a reserved freight elevator and a dock time. We handle COIs and freight elevator and dock coordination, but you should confirm the building's rules early, since some require requests several days in advance.
