What does remanufactured mean?

Remanufactured workstations are pre-owned systems that are taken apart, cleaned, repaired and rebuilt with new panel fabric, new worksurface laminate and fresh trim paint. You choose the finishes, and the stations are built to your layout.

What is a hybrid pre-owned/remanufactured workstation?

A hybrid station reuses existing pre-owned panels, worksurfaces or any combination of the two, and pairs them with select new parts. The hardware is replaced or refinished so the finished station looks as-new. You get an as-new look for less than a fully remanufactured station, and a better-looking result than simply buying pre-owned. Tick the remanufactured or hybrid option on the form and we will price both ways.

How much floor space do these layouts take?

Each card and the Station Builder show the overall footprint, post to post. The layouts are based on Herman Miller Action Office AO2 and AO2-compatible systems, the staple of the industry: panels are 2 inches thick and every 2-, 3- or 4-way connector post adds 3 inches of creep to the run. A 6×6 pod of four, for example, takes 12′ 9″ by 12′ 9″. Wings and end panels add connector posts, so the footprint updates as you add them.

Can I change the layout I build here?

Yes. The six layouts are starting points. Panel heights, station sizes, glass, wings, end panels, pedestals and seating can all be changed, and we plan the full floor for free. Send your sample and tell us what you need.

Are the worksurfaces supported by legs?

No. Every worksurface is cantilevered off the panels on steel brackets, so there are no legs and no modesty panels under the desk.

How long does a remanufactured order take?

Remanufactured stations usually run 7 to 14 days from an approved order, depending on quantity and finishes. Tell us your timeframe in the builder and we confirm what can hit it.
