- Seat depth next. Leave about two to three finger widths between the front edge of the seat and the back of the knees.
- Lumbar support. Adjust until the lower back feels supported without being pushed forward. If the chair adjusts each side, tune them separately.
- Recline tension. Set it so leaning back feels controlled, not like falling or fighting the chair.
- Arms last. Set height so shoulders stay relaxed and elbows rest near desk height, then bring arms in close enough to use.
