Haworth is one of the major names in commercial office furniture, known for workstation systems, seating, desking and storage built for large corporate floors. A lot of that furniture comes out of offices long before it wears out, often because a company moved, downsized or changed its layout. That is where pre-owned Haworth comes in.
Office Station sells pre-owned Haworth as an independent reseller. We are not an authorized Haworth dealer, and we want that to be clear up front because it affects how warranty, pricing and replacement parts work. What you get is quality commercial furniture, graded honestly, at secondary market prices.
What you will find in pre-owned Haworth
Inventory changes as offices are decommissioned, so availability of any specific line comes and goes. These are the categories Haworth furniture generally falls into and what to know about each on the used market.
| Category | Why buy it used | Key thing to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Panel workstations and cubicles | Largest savings per seat, easy to reconfigure | Complete connectors, power harnesses and matching panel heights |
| Benching and open plan desking | Efficient for dense open offices | Beam and leg counts, screens, cable trays |
| Height-adjustable desks | Sit-to-stand at a lower entry cost | Motor and column function through full travel |
| Task seating | Ergonomic chairs hold value and function well | Mechanism, cylinder, arm and lumbar adjustment |
| Private office casegoods | Durable desks, credenzas and storage | Handing, hardware and finish match |
| Storage and filing | Laterals and towers last for years | Keys or lock cores, drawer glides, anti-tip function |
For chairs specifically, see used Haworth chairs.
Warranty transparency
Warranty questions come up on every pre-owned purchase, so here is the answer plainly.
What that means in practice:
- Inspect or ask before ordering. Use the checklists below and ask for photos or details on anything that matters to you.
- Plan for spares. On larger workstation orders, a few extra connectors, panels or worksurfaces can save a scramble later.
- Keep your records. Note the product line and any labels, which helps if you need to source matching pieces down the road.
Condition grades
- Grade A, like new. Minimal to no visible wear.
- Grade B, very good. Light cosmetic wear, fully functional.
- Grade C, good. Noticeable cosmetic wear, fully usable, lowest price.

Matching used Haworth to what you already own
A common reason to buy used Haworth is to expand an existing Haworth installation. It can work well, but systems furniture is particular.
- Identify the line. Look for labels under worksurfaces or inside panel frames, and photograph connectors and power components.
- Match the generation. Lines evolve over the years, and parts from different generations do not always connect.
- Match panel heights and widths. A mismatched height breaks the run visually and may not align with connectors.
- Check power. Electrified panels need compatible harnesses and base feeds. Your electrician still handles the building connection.
- Match finishes and fabric. Fabric colors fade and discontinue. Remanufactured panels can help unify a mixed set.
Free space planning is included, so you can confirm counts, layout and missing parts before anything ships.
When to mix brands instead
If an exact Haworth match is not available, it is sometimes smarter to keep Haworth in one zone and add a separate group of stations from another line, such as Steelcase, Knoll, Teknion or Allsteel, in its own area. Freestanding pieces like seating, height-adjustable desks, tables and storage mix across brands easily. Panel systems are the category where staying within one line pays off, because connectors and power components are rarely interchangeable.
Selling Haworth furniture
If you are on the other side of the equation, with a floor of Haworth workstations to clear out, Office Station provides office furniture liquidation across Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, Las Vegas, Reno, San Diego, Orange County, Northern California, Denver, Salt Lake City and Albuquerque. You receive a written net offer equal to resale value minus removal cost, typically within 5 business days of the walkthrough. Crews can work nights and weekends, provide COIs, coordinate freight elevators and docks, and hand back a photo-documented broom-clean space. Try the liquidation estimator for a starting point, or see office decommissioning if you need the full move-out handled.
Frequently asked questions
Is Office Station an authorized Haworth dealer?
No. Office Station is an independent reseller of pre-owned furniture, including Haworth, and is not an authorized dealer. That means pricing and availability come from the secondary market rather than from the manufacturer's dealer network.
Does the Haworth warranty transfer to used furniture?
Manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer to pre-owned furniture. Treat a used Haworth purchase as buying the product as graded and described. Ask about condition and completeness before you order so there are no surprises.
Can used Haworth panels be added to my existing Haworth workstations?
Often, if the product line and generation match. Panel systems use specific connectors, heights and power components, and parts from different lines usually do not interconnect. Share photos and any labels from your existing stations so compatibility can be checked first.
What is the difference between liquidation-grade and remanufactured?
Liquidation-grade workstations are sold essentially as removed, graded by condition, and are the lowest cost. Remanufactured workstations are refreshed before sale and cost more. For a 6'x6' workstation, furniture only, published pricing is $615 liquidation-grade and $1,245 remanufactured.
Can Office Station buy my Haworth furniture?
If your office is in one of Office Station's liquidation markets, you can request a walkthrough and a written net offer. The offer equals the resale value of the furniture minus the cost of removal, and when it is positive, you are paid. Quality brand furniture in good condition generally helps that number.
