Condition grades for used Compose
Each component is graded on the same three-step scale. Because panels and work surfaces wear differently, it is worth asking for grades by component on larger orders.
- Grade A, like new. Clean faces, crisp trim, surfaces with little or no visible wear.
- Grade B, very good. Light cosmetic wear on trim or surfaces, clean faces, fully functional hardware.
- Grade C, good. Visible wear, structurally sound. A fit for interior rows and budget-focused projects.
Manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer to pre-owned furniture, so the grade and your inspection are what you are buying on.
Expand with Compose, or replace the area?
If you already have Compose on your floor, you have two realistic paths. Neither is right for everyone.
