The furniture grade is the biggest lever. Delivery and installation depend on the size and layout of the floor, not on whether the stations are pre-owned or new. Every project is quoted individually, with each of these as its own line on your written quote.

How an installation project runs
- Space plan. Station counts, layout and power locations are confirmed on a free plan.
- Building logistics. Certificates of insurance go to building management, and freight elevator and dock time are reserved.
- Site readiness. Flooring, paint and electrical rough-in should be finished before furniture arrives.
- Delivery and staging. Components are brought in and staged by area so each zone can be built in order.
- Installation. Workstations are assembled, leveled and aligned to the plan. Nights and weekends are available.
- Electrician connection. Your electrician connects the panel power feeds.
- Walkthrough. You walk the floor and flag any punch-list items before sign-off.
Your pre-install checklist
- Confirm the building's contractor rules and required insurance wording.
- Reserve the freight elevator and loading dock for delivery day.
- Clear the install area of boxes, old furniture and construction debris.
- Confirm carpet and paint are complete and dry.
- Mark power and data locations on the floor or confirm them against the plan.
- Name one on-site contact with authority to answer layout questions.
- Schedule your electrician for right after installation.
What most often delays an install
Most installation delays have nothing to do with the furniture. They come from the site or the building. Knowing the usual causes lets you head them off.
- Unfinished construction. If carpet is still going down or paint is wet, crews cannot build stations in that area. Ask your general contractor for a firm turnover date for the floor.
- Missing insurance paperwork. Many buildings will not let a crew past the dock without a certificate of insurance naming the right parties. Send the building's exact wording ahead of time.
- Elevator conflicts. Another tenant's move or a construction delivery can tie up the freight elevator. Book it in writing and confirm it the day before.
- Layout changes on the day. Moving a run of stations after installation starts can ripple through power locations. Lock the plan before delivery and keep one decision-maker on site.
- Electrician timing. If the electrician cannot come until days later, your team may have desks without power. Book both trades together.
Delays like these can push your move-in date. A little coordination up front is the best protection.
Installation as part of a relocation
When you are moving offices, installation is only one piece. The furniture at your old address has to go somewhere, and the old space usually has to be returned empty.
