Pre-owned office workstations

Workstations are the backbone of an open office, and they are usually the biggest line in a furniture budget. Buying used lets you furnish a full floor with commercial-grade systems furniture for a fraction of new pricing, often on a much shorter timeline.

Every price on this page is for a standard 6'x6' workstation, furniture only.

Volume pricing

The more stations you order, the lower the per-station price. Here is what the discount tiers look like applied to each workstation tier.

Installation, delivery and what else to budget

A workstation price is only part of the total. Plan for these as well:

  • Installation: $95 per workstation, with a $495 minimum. A 5-station order hits the minimum; a 30-station order is $2,850.
  • Greater Phoenix delivery: $195 for central locations, $295 for the wider metro.
  • Outside Greater Phoenix: freight is quoted per project, nationwide.
  • Electrical: not included. If your stations need power fed through panels or from the floor or ceiling, coordinate a licensed electrician and your building early.
  • Space planning: free.

Which tier fits your office

Liquidation-grade

The lowest cost and fastest option. Good for call centers, operations floors, startups and any team that needs desks now. Condition varies by grade, so check each line on your quote.

Remanufactured

Refreshed pre-owned furniture with a cleaner, more consistent look. A strong choice when clients visit or you want a whole floor to match. Read more in why you should pick remanufactured furniture.

New

The right call when you need a specific finish or configuration that is not available pre-owned, or when a manufacturer warranty is required. Expect 4 to 6 weeks.

Many offices mix tiers, with remanufactured in visible areas and liquidation-grade elsewhere.

How ordering workstations works

  1. Share the basics. Send your headcount, room dimensions or floor plan, target move-in date and delivery address.
  2. Get a free layout. Space planning maps the stations to your room so you know the count fits before you order.
  3. Review your quote. It lists each item with its tier and condition grade, plus installation, delivery or freight and any volume pricing.
  4. Schedule delivery and install. Lead time depends on tier: as little as 72 hours for in-stock liquidation-grade, usually 7 to 14 days for remanufactured, and 4 to 6 weeks for new.

The biggest delays usually come from outside the furniture itself, such as electrical work that was not scheduled, a building that needs a certificate of insurance before crews can enter, or a freight elevator that has to be reserved. Raising those items early keeps a fast lead time from going to waste.

A note on station size

The pricing on this page is for 6'x6' workstations, a common footprint that gives most people room for a monitor setup, a small amount of storage and a comfortable work surface. If your layout calls for a different size or configuration, mention it in your request so availability and pricing can be confirmed before you plan around it.

Brands and what "independent reseller" means

Pre-owned inventory can include systems furniture and seating from Herman Miller, Steelcase, Knoll, Haworth, Humanscale, Teknion, Allsteel, Kimball, AIS and Friant. Office Station sells these as an independent reseller, not an authorized dealer. Manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer to pre-owned furniture.

Checklist before you order

  1. Count stations now and for the next year of hiring.
  2. Measure the room or send a floor plan for free space planning.
  3. Confirm walkway clearances and building egress requirements with your landlord.
  4. Decide which areas need remanufactured and which can be liquidation-grade.
  5. Plan power and data with your electrician and IT team.
  6. Confirm delivery access, such as dock or elevator availability.
  7. Pair stations with task chairs. See pre-owned office chairs.

Serving Greater Phoenix

In Greater Phoenix, delivery uses simple zone pricing. You can find local details on the pages for Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler. Outside the metro, freight is quoted per project.

Moving out of an old office?

If new workstations are part of a relocation, your current furniture may offset the cost. Office furniture liquidation provides a written net offer based on resale value minus removal cost, and corporate relocation covers the move itself.
