What grades A, B and C look like on Series 2
Grade A, like new
Minimal or no visible wear. Back, seat, arms and base look close to new, and every adjustment works as designed. Choose A for reception, leadership offices and conference rooms where chairs are part of the first impression.
Grade B, very good
Light cosmetic wear such as small base scuffs or slightly worn arm pads. Fully functional. For most open office rows, Grade B delivers nearly the same daily experience as A at a lower cost.
Grade C, good
Visible wear on upholstery, arms or base, but the chair is sound and usable. Grade C is a strong choice for training rooms, overflow seating, shift work and any seat that sees heavy turnover.

Office Station sells pre-owned Steelcase chairs as an independent reseller. We are not an authorized Steelcase dealer. Manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer to pre-owned furniture, so the grade on each chair and the terms on your quote are what you should rely on.
If your company requires the original manufacturer warranty, a new purchase through an authorized dealer is the route for that requirement. For many teams, though, the savings and speed of pre-owned chairs outweigh it, especially because common task chair wear parts like casters and gas cylinders are typically replaceable.
