Panel systems are the backbone of most cubicle offices. Each workstation is built from connecting panels that hold up worksurfaces, overhead storage and shelving, with many systems carrying power and data through the base. The result is a private, organized seat that can be reconfigured as your team changes.
Because major manufacturers build panel systems to last for years of daily use, used office panel systems are one of the best values in commercial furniture. Office Station offers them in three tiers so you can match price, finish and timing to your project.
Three tiers, one standard station
To keep comparisons simple, here is pricing for a standard 6x6 workstation, furniture only:
| Liquidation-grade | Remanufactured | New | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per 6x6 station | $615 | $1,245 | $1,920 |
| Lead time | As little as 72 hours, in stock | Usually 7 to 14 days | 4 to 6 weeks |
| Best for | Tight budgets and fast move-ins | A consistent, refreshed look at a lower price than new | Custom specs and finishes |
| Condition | Graded A, B or C | Refreshed pre-owned | New |
Average market rate Prices subject to availability and project pricing.
All prices exclude electrical, delivery and professional installation.
Liquidation-grade
These are pre-owned stations sold in the condition they came out of an office, sorted by grade. Grade A is like new, B is very good and C is good. This is the fastest, lowest-cost way to seat a team, and in-stock stations can be ready in as little as 72 hours.
Remanufactured
Remanufactured stations start as pre-owned and are refreshed for a more uniform appearance across the floor. They cost about 35% less than new and usually ship in 7 to 14 days, which makes them a strong middle ground for client-facing spaces.
New
New stations make sense when you need specific finishes, dimensions or components that are not available pre-owned, and when you can plan around a 4 to 6 week lead time.
What makes up a panel workstation
When you compare quotes, make sure you are comparing the same parts. A typical panel workstation is built from these components:
- Panels. The walls of the station, usually fabric-covered, sometimes with glass or marker-board inserts. Heights vary, and a single station may use more than one.
- Connectors and posts. The hardware that joins panels at corners and in straight runs. Missing connectors are one of the most common problems with used systems, so confirm they are included.
- Worksurfaces. Straight, corner or L-shaped desktops that hang from the panels or sit on supports.
- Pedestals. Rolling or fixed drawer units under the worksurface, often with locks.
- Overhead storage and shelves. Bins, flipper doors or open shelves hung from the panels.
- Base raceways. Channels at the bottom of powered panels that carry electrical and data cabling.
- End panels and trim. Finishing pieces that give runs of stations a clean look.
A 6x6 station price assumes a standard kit. If you need extra shelves, a second pedestal or taller panels on one side, mention it in your quote request so pricing reflects what you actually get.
Brands you will find
Our pre-owned inventory can include panel systems and workstation components from Herman Miller, Steelcase, Knoll, Haworth, Teknion, Allsteel, Kimball, AIS and Friant. Availability changes as inventory comes in, so ask about specific product lines when you request a quote.
Office Station is an independent reseller, not an authorized dealer for any of these manufacturers. Manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer to pre-owned furniture.

Buying checklist for used panel systems
- Station size. 6x6 is a common standard, but confirm what fits your square footage and roles.
- Panel height. Lower panels keep teams connected; taller panels give more privacy for calls.
- Power and data. Decide whether you need powered panels or will feed stations another way.
- Storage. Count pedestals, overheads and shelves per station.
- Finish consistency. For a uniform look, choose remanufactured or ask whether enough grade A stations from one product line are available.
- Future growth. Order compatible extra panels and parts now if you expect to add seats.
- Timeline. Match your move-in date to the lead time of each tier.
- Site access. Confirm dock, freight elevator and after-hours rules for installers.

Frequently asked questions
What is a panel system?
A panel system is a set of freestanding, connectable walls that support worksurfaces, storage and often power and data wiring. Panels link together to create individual workstations in almost any layout. Because they are modular, you can add, remove or rearrange stations as needs change.
Can I mix used panels with the panels I already have?
Sometimes. Panels from the same manufacturer and product line may connect, but different lines or brands usually do not. Send the brand, product line and a few photos to hello@officestation.com and we will tell you what fits.
Do used panel systems include electrical?
Many panel systems have built-in raceways for power and data, but our prices exclude electrical work. A licensed electrician will need to connect powered panels to your building. Plan that into your budget and schedule.
How long does installation take?
It depends on station count and site access. Liquidation-grade stations can be ready in as little as 72 hours when in stock, remanufactured usually in 7 to 14 days and new in 4 to 6 weeks. Installation is $95 per workstation with a $495 minimum.
Do used panel systems come with a warranty?
Office Station is an independent reseller of pre-owned furniture, not an authorized dealer for any brand, and manufacturer warranties generally do not transfer to pre-owned pieces. Each item carries a condition grade of A, B or C so you know what you are buying.
