The Unigroup name has been used across related versions over time. That is helpful for availability but means you should not assume every Unigroup part matches. Compare connectors, panel construction and worksurface supports against what you already have.

Premise

Premise is another Haworth panel system. It is a separate line from Unigroup, so treat it as its own system when sourcing parts or adding stations. If you are offered a mix of Premise and Unigroup, ask the seller exactly how the components were installed together and confirm with documentation or an experienced installer.

Compose

Compose is a Haworth system offering a range of finishes and components for different station types. As with any system, completeness matters. Buying whole stations, with their supports and hardware, avoids hunting for small parts later.

Knoll Dividends Horizon, Morrison and Reff

Dividends Horizon

Dividends Horizon is part of Knoll's Dividends family of panel systems. People looking for "used Knoll Dividends" will find it in resale inventory as offices reconfigure. Configurations vary a great deal, from low collaborative stations to more private layouts, so review the exact panel heights and components on offer.

Morrison

Knoll Morrison is a panel system that has been in offices for many years. That long history means it still appears in used inventory, but it also means many installations are older. Look closely at panel fabric, frame condition and any electrical parts, and ask how easy it will be to find matching components if you plan to expand.

Reff

Reff is associated with wood-focused, more executive-style furniture, and it is often seen in private offices and higher-end areas. Workstation components appear in resale less predictably than mainstream panel systems. If you find a complete Reff set in finishes you like, it can be a way to bring a warmer, more tailored look to part of your office.

How to identify the system

Use several clues together. No single feature settles the question, and many installations include added or replaced parts.

1. Look for labels. Check panel frames, the underside of worksurfaces and inside pedestal drawers for manufacturer labels and part numbers.
2. Examine panel construction. Note panel thickness, and whether panels are single units or frames with removable tiles.
3. Study the connectors. How panels join and how corners and end runs are finished varies by system.
4. Check component attachment. Worksurface supports and overhead storage brackets are useful identifiers.
5. Look at finishes and trim. Wood veneers, top caps and edge trim can point toward a particular line.
6. Compare with documentation. Match what you see against Haworth or Knoll product literature, not marketplace photos.

Buying remotely? Request close-ups of labels, connectors, panel edges and supports. A reseller who handles these systems regularly should be able to explain how they identified the line.

Compatibility, parts and power

Mixing systems

Components are designed to work within their own system. Across manufacturers, parts generally do not interchange. Even within one manufacturer, separate lines and different versions of the same line can differ in connectors and heights. Some combinations may be possible with specific transition parts, but confirm with documentation or an experienced installer.

Parts availability

Widely installed systems, such as Unigroup, tend to have more parts circulating through resale. Older or less common lines can be harder to supplement. Before you buy, ask:

• If you add stations later, how likely are matching components to be available?

Powered panels

Many Haworth and Knoll panel installations carry power through the panels. Reusing it takes care:

• Keep electrical parts system-specific. Never mix harnesses, receptacles, jumpers or in-feeds across systems or manufacturers.
• Confirm the circuit configuration. It determines how many devices each station supports and how the system ties into building power.
• Check the in-feed. Confirm that the way power enters the panels, from wall, floor or ceiling, works for your space.
• Replace damaged parts. Cracked housings, damaged insulation, bent contacts and missing covers are not acceptable for reuse.

2. Verify that all stations come from matching versions of the same system.
3. Check that each station is complete, including hardware, supports and trim.
4. Inspect fabric for stains, tears, fading and odor.
5. Look for bent frames, dented panels and damaged caps or trim.
6. Check worksurfaces and wood veneers for chips, delamination, scratches and warping.
7. Open every drawer and door, test every lock and confirm keys.
